(``the Act''), Auto Body Consortium has filed written notifications simultaneously with the Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission disclosing (1) the identities of the parties and (2) the nature and objectives of the partnership. The notifications were filed for the purpose of limiting recovery of antitrust plaintiffs to actual damages under specified circumstances. The purpose of this joint venture is to develop and demonstrate a new generation of sheet metal stamping technologies to achieve precision and agility in sheet metal stamping by improving the standard of accuracy in stamped sheet metal parts from present industry standards of a few millimeters to submillimeter tolerances and reducing the time currently required for sheet metal die design, try-out and production by 30 percent.
