Five Points Timber Sales and Related Projects, Wallowa-Whitman 
National Forest, Union and Umatilla Counties, Oregon

AGENCY: Forest Service, USDA.

ACTION: Cancellation Notice.

SUMMARY: The Wallowa-Whitman National Forest gave notice that an 
environmental impact statement would be prepared for three timber sales 
and other related projects within the La Grande Ranger District. The 
Notice of Intent was published in the January 2, 1991, Federal Register 
(56 FR 13106) and revised April 30, 1992 (57 FR 18465). Change of 
Forest Plan direction in Regional Forester Forest Plan Amendments 1 and 
2 invalidated the Five Points Timber Sales proposal. The decision was 
made to postpone this environmental analysis. This notice is hereby 
rescinded.
