[Federal Register Volume 61, Number 42 (Friday, March 1, 1996)] [Notices] [Page 8050] From the Federal Register Online via the Government Publishing Office [www.gpo.gov] [FR Doc No: 96-4765] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY [Project No. 2170-003 Alaska] Chugach Electric Association, Inc.; Notice of Availability of Environmental Assessment February 26, 1996. An environmental assessment (EA) is available for public review. The EA is for an application to amend the license for the Cooper Lake Project. The application is to relocate an approximately 1.7-mile-long section of the project's existing 115-kilovolt transmission line and associated 100-foot-wide right-of-way. The EA finds that approval of the application would not constitute a major Federal action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment. The Cooper Lake Project is located on Cooper Lake, Cooper Creek, Kenai Lake in the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska. The EA was written by staff in the Office of Hydropower Licensing, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Copies of the EA are available for review at the Commission's Reference and Information Center, Room 2-A, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, DC 20426.
