[[Page 11813]] SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The invention provides a means of immunization of humans with a peptide or denatured protein against enterotoxigenic E. coli (ETEC) strains of the CS4-CFA/I family. The antibodies raised by the peptides and proteins may be used as the basis for a cross-reactive ETEC vaccine as well as diagnostic agents to identify antigens of CS4-CFA/I bacteria. Gregory D.
