U.S. Participation at Lisbon Expo '98

AGENCY: United States Information Agency.

ACTION: Seeking contributions.

SUMMARY: The United States Information Agency announces that the United 
States intends to participate at Lisbon Expo '98, a World Fair 
officially

sanctioned by the Bureau of International Expositions, to be held in 
Lisbon, Portugal from May 22-September 30, 1998. Participation will 
entail the design, fabrication and operation of a 12,000 square foot 
U.S. Pavilion focusing on the expo theme, ``The Oceans--A Heritage for 
the Future.'' Financing is being sought through cash and in kind 
contributions from the private sector, as well as state and local 
governments and other organizations.
