[[Page 54677]] SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Delta Region Preservation Commission was established pursuant to Section 907 of Public Law 95-625 (16 U.S.C. 230f), as amended, to advise the Secretary of the Interior in the selection of sites for inclusion in the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, and in the implementation and development of a general management plan and of a comprehensive interpretive program of natural, historic and cultural resources of the Region. The purpose of the meeting is to afford Superintendent Smith an opportunity to update the Commission on park issues such as visitation and to open the floor for any questions concerning park issues. The meeting will be open to the public. However, facilities and space for accommodating members of the public are limited. Any member of the public may file with the Commission a written statement concerning the matters to be discussed. Written statements may also be submitted to the Superintendent at the address above. Minutes of the meeting will be available at Park Headquarters for public inspection approximately 4 weeks after the meeting. Dated: October 10, 1996.
