Availability of Non-Exclusive, Exclusive, or Partially-Exclusive 
Licensing of Acoustic Monitoring Technology

AGENCY: U.S. Army Research Laboratory, Adelphi, Maryland.

ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: In accordance with 37 CFR 404.6 announcement is made of the 
availability of U.S. Patent 5,515,865, ``Sudden Infant Death Syndrome 
(SIS) Monitor and Stimulator, and U.S. Patent Applications RL 95-9 
``Acoustic Monitoring System'' and ARL 96-33a ``Motion and Sound 
Monitor and Stimulator'' for non-exclusive, exclusive or partially 
exclusive licensing. This patent has been assigned to the United States 
of America as represented by the Secretary of the Army, Washington, DC.
    This patent involves a movement and sound monitor and stimulator 
which is particularly useful for preventing death in human infants from 
sudden infant death syndrome and other uses. The two related U.S. 
patent applications concern this and other uses of this invention and 
some improvements thereto.
    Under the authority of Section 11(a)(2) of the Federal Technology 
Transfer Act of 1986 (Pub. L. 99-502) and Section 207 of Title 35, 
United States Code, the Department of the Army as represented by the 
Army Research Laboratory wishes to license this U.S. patent and related 
applications in a non-exclusive, exclusive or partially exclusive 
manner to any party interested in manufacturing, using and/or selling 
devices or processes covered by this patent.
