Notice of Realty Action: Sale of Public Land in Bayfield County, 
Wisconsin

AGENCY: Bureau of Land Management.

ACTION: Notice of realty action.

SUMMARY: The following land has been found suitable for disposal by 
direct sale under the authority of Sec. 203 of the Federal Land Policy 
and Management Act of 1976, 43 U.S.C. 1716. This land will not be 
offered for sale until at least 60 days after the date of this notice.

Fourth Principal Meridian,

T.43N., R.7W.
    Sec. 17, Lot #9.

    Containing 21.43 acres.

    The land described is being offered as a direct sale to the trustee 
for the owners of the improvements on the land at the appraised value. 
It has been determined that the subject parcel contains no known 
mineral values; therefore, mineral interest may be conveyed 
simultaneously. Acceptance of the direct sale offer will qualify the 
purchaser to make application for conveyance of those mineral interests 
under Sec. 209 of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 
(90 Stat. 2750, 43 U.S.C. 1713).

DATES: Interested parties may submit comments until March 7, 1997. Any 
adverse comments will be evaluated by the District Manager. In the 
absence of timely objections, this proposal shall become the final 
determination of the Department of the Interior.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The proposed sale will resolve an occupancy 
trespass resulting from a correction of an erroneous survey of the 
meander line of Perry Lake. The land has not been used for and is not 
required for any

Federal purpose. The public interest will be served by the sale of this 
parcel to protect the private landowner's equities.
    Publication of this notice in the Federal Register will segregate 
the public land described above from settlement, location, or entry 
under the public land laws, including the mining laws, as provided in 
43 CFR 2711.102, but not from sale pursuant to Sec. 203 of the Federal 
Land Policy and Management Act of 1976.
