Iroquois Gas Transmission System, L.P.; Notice of Proposed 
Changes in FERC Gas Tariff

January 21, 1997.
    Take notice that on January 15, 1997, Iroquois Gas Transmission 
System, L.P. (Iroquois) tendered for filing to become part of its FERC 
Gas Tariff, First Revised Volume No. 1, revised tariff sheets, proposed 
to be effective January 1, 1997.
    Iroquois states that the instant filing is to comply with the 
directives of the Commission's December 31, 1996 order issued in Docket 
No. RP97-126. Iroquois also requests a waiver of Section 154.203(b) to 
permit it to make certain other changes not required by the December 31 
order.
    Iroquois states that copies of its filing were served on all 
parties, all jurisdictional customers and interested state commissions.
    Any person desiring to protest said filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., 
Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with 18 CFR 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedures. All such protests must 
be filed as provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's 
Regulations. Protests will be considered by the Commission in 
determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to 
make protestants parties to the proceeding. Copies of this filing are 
on file with the Commission and are available for public inspection in 
the Public Reference Room.
