Take notice that on April 17, 1997, Transwestern Pipeline Company (Transwestern), 1400 Smith Street, P.O. Box 1188, Houston, Texas 77251- 1188, filed in Docket No. CP97-349-000, a request pursuant to Sections 157.205, and 157.212 of the Commission's Regulations under the Natural Gas Act (N.A.) (18 CFR 157.205, and 157.212) for authorization to operate the existing facilities in Hansford County, Texas, as a delivery point to accommodate interruptible natural gas deliveries for shippers(s) to West Texas Gas, Inc. (WTG) under Transwestern's blanket certificate issued in Docket No. CP82-435-000 pursuant to Section 7 of the N.A., all as more fully set forth in the request which is on file with the Commission and open to public inspection. Transwestern states that service will be provided for shipper(s) on behalf of WTG pursuant to currently effective throughput service agreement(s). Transwestern asserts that WTG has requested the proposed delivery point to serve commercial and residential customers in Hansford County, Texas. Transwestern asserts that the proposed volumes to be delivered for WTG at the Hansford County Delivery are 1,000 MMBtu on a peak day and 365,000 MMBtu on an annual basis. Since Transwestern is proposing to utilize existing facilities, no construction activity or associated costs is required. Any person or the Commission's staff may, within 45 days after issuance of the instant notice by the Commission, file pursuant to Rule 214 of the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.214) a motion to intervene or notice of intervention and pursuant to Section 157.205 of the Regulations under the Natural Gas Act (18 CFR 157.205) a protest to the request. If no protest is filed within the time allowed therefor, the proposed activity is deemed to be authorized effective on the day after the time allowed for filing a protest. If a protest is filed and not withdrawn within 30 days after the time allowed for filing a protest, the instant request shall be treated as an application for authorization pursuant to Section 7 of the Natural Gas Act.
