DEPARTMENT OF LABOR

Employment and Training Administration
[TA-W-33,219]

Mazzucchelli, Inc., U.S. Division (D/B/A/ Tectonic Industries,
Incorporated) Berlin, Connecticut; Amended Certification Regarding
Eligibility To Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance

In accordance with Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C.
2273) the Department of Labor issued a Certification of Eligibility to
Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance on March 10, 1997, applicable to
all workers of Tectonic, Incorporated, Berlin, Connecticut. The notice
was published in the Federal Register on March 31, 1997 (62 FR 15199).
At the request of the State agency, the Department reviewed the
certification for workers of the subject firm. The workers were engaged
in the production of plastic sheeting for the optical industry. New
information provided by the State shows that some of the claimants'
wages are reported under the Unemployment Insurance (UI) tax account
for Mazzucchelli, Inc., U.S. Division, Berlin, Connecticut, Tectonic's
parent company.
The intent of the Department's certification is to include all
workers of Tectonic, Incorporated who were adversely affected by
imports. Accordingly, the Department is amending the certification to
reflect this matter.
The amended notice applicable to TA-W-33,219 is hereby issued as
follows:

All workers of Mazzuccheli, Inc., U.S. Division, D/B/A Tectonic
Industries, Incorporated, Berlin, Connecticut engaged in employment
related to the production of plastic sheeting for the optical
industry who became totally or partially separated from employment
on or after February 5, 1996, are eligible to apply for adjustment
assistance under Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974.

Signed at Washington, D.C. this 10th day of April, 1997.
