Federal-State Joint Board on Universal Service

AGENCY: Federal Communications Commission.

ACTION: Notice of appointment.

SUMMARY: On May 22, 1997, the Commission appointed Commissioner David 
N. Baker of the Georgia Public Service Commission to the Federal-State 
Board on Universal Service, filling the position vacated by Kenneth 
McClure, and acknowledged the contribution of Mr. McClure to this 
Federal-State Joint Board.

EFFECTIVE DATE: May 22, 1997.

ADDRESSES: After the effective date of the appointment, copies of all 
filings in the universal service proceeding must be served on 
Commissioner Baker at the Georgia Public Service Commission, 244 
Washington Street, SW, Atlanta, GA 30334-5701.
