Take notice that on June 20, 1997, Great Lakes Gas Transmission Limited Partnership (Grate Lakes) tendered for filing a Report of Gas Research Institute Tier 1 Refunds for 1996 calendar year overpayments. Great Lakes states that the refund report is filed in accordance with the Commission's Order issued February 22, 1995 in Docket No. RP95-124- 000 (70 FERC para. 61,205). Great Lakes states that a refund amount of $329,321 was received from GRI on May 30, 1997. Great Lakes further states this amount was subsequently refunded to eligible firm transportation customers on a pro-rata basis. The report filed by Great Lakes reflects the GRI refund amounts allocated to each eligible firm transportation customer for the 1996 calendar year. Any person desiring to protest said filing should file a protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Sec. 385.211 of the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure. All such protests should be filed on or before July 1, 1997. Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the proceeding.
