Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation; Notice of Proposed Changes 
in FERC Gas Tariff

July 17, 1997.
    Take notice that on July 14, 1997, Columbia Gas Transmission 
Corporation (Columbia Transmission) tendered for filing to become part 
of its FERC Gas Tariff, Second Revised Volume No. 1, the following 
revised tariff sheets bearing an effective date of July 7, 1997:

Substitute Fifth Revised Sheet No. 281
Substitute Sixth Revised Sheet No. 282

    Columbia Transmission states that it is making the submission to 
effectuate revisions to Section 4 of the General Terms and Conditions 
of its tariff required by the Commission by order issued July 3, 1997.
    Columbia Transmission states further that copies of this filing 
have been mailed to all of its customers, affected state regulatory 
commissions, and all parties to this proceeding.
    Any person desiring to protest said filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., 
Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's regulations. All such protests must be filed as provided 
in Section 154.210 of the Commission's regulations. Protests will be 
considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to 
be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to the 
proceedings. A copy of this filing is on file with the Commission and 
is available for public inspection in the Commission's Public Reference 
Room.
