Take notice that on July 28, 1997, Long Island Lighting Company (LILCO) filed Service Agreements for Non-Firm Point-to-Point Transmission Service between: (1) LILCO and ProMark Energy (Transmission Customer); and (2) LILCO and PECO Energy Company-Power Team (Transmission Customer). The Service Agreements specify that the Transmission Customer has agreed to the rates, terms and conditions of the LILCO open access transmission tariff filed on July 9, 1996, in Docket No. OA96-38-000. LILCO requests waiver of the Commission's sixty (60) day notice requirements and an effective date of July 8, 1997, for the ProMark Energy and the PECO Company-Power Team Service Agreement. LILCO has served copies of the filing on the New York State Public Service Commission and on the Transmission Customers. Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with Rules 211 and 214 of the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure (18 CFR 385.211 and 18 CFR 385.214). All such motions or protests should be filed on or before August 29, 1997. Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make the protestants parties to the proceeding.
