Williston Basin Interstate Pipeline Company; Notice of Compliance 
Filing

August 19, 1997.
    Take notice that on August 15, 1997, Williston Basin Interstate 
Pipeline Company (Williston Basin), tendered for filing as part of its 
FERC Gas Tariff, Second Revised Volume No. 1, the following tariff 
sheets, with an effective date of August 1, 1997:

Substitute First Revised Sheet No. 202
Substitute Second Revised Sheet No. 232C
Original Sheet No. 232D
Substitute Second Revised Sheet No. 292
First Revised Sheet No. 292A

    Williston Basin states that it is filing the above tariff sheets in 
compliance with the Commission's July 31, 1997, ``Order Accepting 
Tariff Sheets Subject to Conditions'' which ordered that Williston 
Basin refile certain tariff sheets to clarify that a prepayment on a 
bid for capacity will be returned to the Shipper if the bid is 
withdrawn prior to the end of the bidding period.
    Any person desiring to protest said filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., 
Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed in 
accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. 
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the 
appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants 
parties to the proceeding. Copies of this filing are on file with the 
Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public 
Reference Room.
