Department of Labor issued a Certification of Eligibility to Apply for
Worker Adjustment Assistance on January 28, 1997, applicable to all
workers of California Fashions Industries, Inc. located in Los Angeles,
California. The notice was published in the Federal Register on
February 13, 1997 (62 FR 6805).
At the request of the petitioners, the Department reviewed the
certification for workers of the subject firm. New information received
by the company shows that worker separations have occurred at the New
York, New York location of California Fashions Industries, Inc. The New
York, New York location is the showroom and sales office for California
Fashions' production facility in Los Angeles, California. The workers
are engaged in the production of ladies' garments.
The intent of the Department's certification is to include all
workers of California Fashions Industries, Inc. who were adversely
affected by increased imports of ladies' garments. Accordingly, the
Department is amending the certification to cover the workers of
California Industries, Inc., New York, New York.
The amended notice applicable to TA-W-33,018 is hereby issued as
follows:

``All workers of California Fashions Industries, Inc., Los
Angeles, California (TA-W-33,018), and New York, New York (TA-W-
33,018A) who became totally or partially separated from employment
on or after November 26, 1995 are eligible to apply for adjustment
assistance under Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974.''

Signed at Washington, DC this 22nd day of August, 1997.
