Carnegie Interstate Pipeline Company; Notice of Proposed Change 
in FERC Gas Tariff

September 15, 1997.
    Take notice that on September 10, 1997, Carnegie Interstate 
Pipeline Company (CIPCO), tendered for filing to become part of its 
FERC Gas Tariff, Original Volume No. 1, the following revised tariff 
sheet, with an effective date of October 1, 1997:

Fourteenth Revised Sheet No. 7

    CIPCO states that the above tariff sheet has been revised to 
reflect a modification to the Annual Charge Adjustment fee, in 
accordance with the Commission's most recent Annual Charge billing to 
CIPCO. The Annual Charge Unit Surcharge authorized by the Commission 
for fiscal year 1998 is $0.0022 per Mcf, or $0.0021 per Dth when 
converted to CIPCO's measurement basis.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., Washington, DC, 20426, in 
accordance with 18 CFR 385.214 and 285.211 of the Commission's Rules 
and Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed in 
accordance with Sec. 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests 
will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate 
action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants parties to 
the proceeding. Any person wishing to become a part must file a motion 
to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and 
are available for public inspection in the public reference room.
