Michigan Gas Storage Company; Notice of Proposed Changes in FERC 
Gas Tariff

October 3, 1997.
    Take notice that on September 29, 1997, Michigan Gas Storage 
Company (MGS) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, First 
Revised Volume No. 1, a number of revised tariff sheets (Sheet Nos. 1, 
41, 41A, 54A, 67 and 67A) with effective dates of November 1, 1997. The 
sheets were filed in compliance with a letter order of June 18, 1997 in 
this docket. The sheets and order deal with Gas Industry Standards 
Board standards.
    MGS states that copies of this filing are being served on all 
customers and applicable state regulatory agencies, as well as on all 
those who are either on the official service list in this docket or on 
the official service list in Docket RP96-290-000.
    Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., 
Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed in 
accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. 
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the 
appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make Protestants 
parties to the proceeding. Copies of this filing are on file with the 
Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public 
Reference Room.
