    Pursuant to section 10(d) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, as 
amended (5 U.S.C. Appendix 2), notice is hereby given of the following 
National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Special Emphasis Panel Meeting.

    Purpose/Agenda: To review and evaluate grant applications.
    Name of Committee: NIDA Special Emphasis Panel (Molecular, 
Cellular and Chemical Neurobiology).
    Date: October 24, 1997.
    Time: 11:00 a.m.
    Place: Marriott Hotel of New Orleans, 555 Cannal Street, New
