Kentucky West Virginia Gas Company, L.L.C.; Notice of Proposed 
Changes in FERC Gas Tariff

October 16, 1997.
    Take notice that on October 10, 1997, Kentucky West Virginia Gas 
Company, L.L.C. (Kentucky West), tendered for filing to its FERC Gas 
Tariff, Third Revised Volume No. 1, with the following tariff sheets to 
be effective October 1, 1997:

Second Substitute Fourth Revised Sheet No. 4
Second Substitute Fourth Revised Sheet No. 5

    Kentucky West states that the proposed tariff sheets are submitted 
in compliance with the ``Order of the Director Accepting, Rejecting and 
Allowing Withdrawal of Tariff Sheets'' issued by the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission (``Commission'') on September 29, 1997 in Docket 
No. TM98-1-46-001. In the Order, the Commission accepted the tariff 
sheets effective October 1, 1997, subject to conditions.
    Kentucky West states that the tariff sheets proposed herein remove 
the minor typographical changes which were not ACA related as required 
by the Commission.
    Pursuant to Section 154.207 of the Commission's Regulations, 
Kentucky West requests that the Commission grant any waivers necessary 
to permit the tariff sheets contained herein to become effective 
October 1, 1997.
    Kentucky West states that a copy of its filing has been served upon 
its customers and interested state commissions.
    Any person desiring to protest this filing should file a protest 
with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., 
Washington, D.C. 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the 
Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed in 
accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. 
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the 
appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make Protestants 
parties to the proceeding. Copies of this filing are on file with the 
Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public 
Reference Room.
