Background

On May 1, 1997, Amco Metal Industrial Corp. (Amco), requested on
behalf of De Ho Metal Industrial Co., Ltd. (De Ho Metal) that the
Department conduct an administrative review of the subject merchandise
exported by De Ho Metal from Taiwan for the period May 1, 1996 through
April 30, 1997.
On June 19, 1997, the Department published in the Federal Register
(62 FR 33394) a notice of initiation of administrative review with
respect to De Ho Metal for the period May 1, 1996 through April 30,
1997. On September 16, 1997, Amco requested that it be allowed to
withdraw its request for a review and that the review be terminated.
Pursuant to 19 CFR 353.22(a)(5), the Department may allow a party
that requests an administrative review to withdraw such request no
later than 90 days after the date of publication of the notice of
initiation of the requested review. Because Amco's request for
termination was submitted within the 90-day time limit, and there were
no requests for review from other interested parties, we are
terminating this review for De Ho Metal. See Certain Welded Stainless
Steel Pipe from Korea, Termination of Antidumping Duty Administration
Review, 62 FR 47460, (September 9, 1997). We will issue appropriate
appraisement instructions directly to the U.S. Customs Service.
This notice is in accordance with Sec. 353.22(a)(5) of the
Department's regulations (19 CFR 353.22(a)(5)).

    Dated: October 10, 1997.
Richard W. Moreland,
Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary, Group II Import Administration.
