El Paso Natural Gas Company; Notice of Compliance Filing

January 5, 1998.
    Take notice that on December 29, 1997, El Paso Natural Gas Company 
(``El Paso'') tendered for filing and acceptance the following revised 
tariff sheets to its FERC Gas Tariff, Second Revised Volume No. 1-A, to 
become effective February 1, 1998:

Substitute Fourth Revised Sheet No. 210
Sub Second Revised Sheet No. 210.01
Substitue Second Revised Sheet No. 211
Sub 1st Revised Original Sheet No. 211A
Substitute Fourth Revised Sheet No. 215
Substitute Third Revised Sheet No. 217

    El Paso states that the tariff sheets are being filed here to 
revise El Paso's pooling and intra-day scheduling provisions to comply 
with the Commission's order issued December 19, 1997 in this 
proceeding.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
file a motion to intervene or protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, 
in accordance with Sections 385.214 and 385.211 of the Commission's 
rules and regulations. All such motions or protests should be filed as 
provided by Section 154.210 of the Commission's rules and regulations. 
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the 
appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants 
parties to the proceeding. Any person wishing to become a party must 
file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the 
Commission and are available for public inspection in the Public 
Reference Room.
