AGENCY: Bureau of Land Management (BLM), DOI.

ACTION: Notice of Realty Action, Lease of Public Land in Harney County,
Oregon.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

SUMMARY: The following described public land is being considered for
lease under Section 302 of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act
of 1976, (43 U.S.C. 1732), at not less than fair market value.

Willamette Meridian

T.20S., R.29E.,
    Sec. 34, S\1/2\NE\1/4\SE\1/4\SE\1/4\SW\1/4\, SE\1/4\SE\1/4\SE\1/
4\SW\1/4\.

The area described aggregates 3.75 acres, more or less, in
Harney County, Oregon.

The purpose of the lease would be to authorize a longstanding
occupancy use. The term of the proposed lease would be for the lifetime
of the proponents, Alan and Ethel Bossuot, who own improvements on the
property. The improvements include a cabin, outbuildings, a bridge and
corrals, which have existed on the property for at least 40 years. The
improvements were originally placed on public land inadvertently by the
Bossuots and their predecessors. For these reasons, the land would not
be offered for lease on a competitive basis.
The lease would be subject to Federal, State, and local ordinances
applicable to

the premises in addition to other conditions deemed necessary to
protect the public interest.
The proposal conforms with the Three Rivers Resource Management
Plan. Based on a review of this plan and other factors, the land has
been determined suitable for lease under the above cited authority.

DATES: For a period of 45 days from the date of publication of this
notice in the Federal Register interested persons may submit comments
regarding the proposed lease to the Three Rivers Resource Area Manager
at the address described below. Comments will be considered in the NEPA
analysis to be prepared for this proposal.

ADDRESSES: Comments should be submitted to the Three Rivers Resource
Area Manager, HC 74-12533, Hwy 20 West, Hines, Oregon 97738.
