Advisory Committee on the Medical Uses of Isotopes: Meeting 
Notice

AGENCY: U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

ACTION: Notice of meeting.

SUMMARY: The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission will convene a meeting 
of a sub-committee of the Advisory Committee on the Medical Uses of 
Isotopes (ACMUI) on February 12, and 13, 1998. The meeting will take 
place at the address provided below. All sessions of the meeting will 
be open to the public.
    Topic of discussion will be the proposed rule text for the revision 
of 10 CFR Part 35 and associated guidance.

DATES: On February 12, 1998, the meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. and 
end at 5:00 p.m. On February 13, 1998, the meeting will begin at 8:30 
a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m.

Conduct of the Meeting

    Dr. Judith Stitt will chair the meeting. Dr. Stitt will conduct the 
meeting in a manner that will facilitate the orderly conduct of 
business. The following

procedures apply to public participation in the meeting:
    1. Persons who wish to provide a written statement should submit a 
reproducible copy to Patricia Vacherlon (address listed previously), by 
February 2, 1998. Statements must pertain to the topics on the agenda 
for the meeting.
    2. At the meeting, questions from members of the public will be 
permitted at the discretion of the Chairman.
    3. The transcript and written comments will be available for 
inspection, and copying, for a fee, at the NRC Public Document Room 
2120 L Street, N.W., Lower Level, Washington, DC 20555, telephone (202) 
634-3273, on or about April 1, 1998. Minutes of the meeting will be 
available on or about May 1, 1998.
    4. Seating for the public will be on a first-come, first-served 
basis.
    This meeting will be held in accordance with the Atomic Energy Act 
of 1954, as amended (primarily Section 161a); the Federal Advisory 
Committee Act (5 U.S.C. App); and the Commission's regulations in Title 
10, U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, part 7.
