[Declaration of Disaster #3046]


State of New York; Amendment #1

    In accordance with notices from the Federal Emergency Management 
Agency dated January 17 and 21, 1998, the above-numbered Declaration is 
hereby amended to include the counties of Genessee, Monroe, Niagara, 
and Saratoga in the State of New York as a disaster area due to damages 
caused by severe winter and ice storms, high winds, and flooding, and 
to establish the incident period for this disaster as beginning on 
January 5, 1998 and continuing through January 17, 1998.
    In addition, applications for economic injury loans from small 
businesses located in the contiguous counties of Erie, Fulton, 
Livingston, Montgomery, Ontario, Orleans, Rensselear, Schenectady, 
Wayne, and Wyoming in the State of New York may be filed until the 
specified date at the previously designated location. All other 
information remains the same, i.e., the deadline for filing 
applications for physical damage is March 10, 1998 and for economic 
injury the termination date is October 13, 1998.
