Romla Ventilator Company, Gardena, California; Notice of
Termination of Investigation

Pursuant to Title V of the North American Free Trade Agreement
Implementation Act (P.L. 103-182) concerning transitional adjustment
assistance, hereinafter called NAFTA-TAA and in accordance with Section
250(a), Subchapter D, Chapter 2, Title II, of the Trade Act of 1974, as
amended (19 U.S.C. 2331), an investigation was initiated on December
23, 1997, on behalf of workers at Romla Ventilator Company, Gardena,
California.
This case is being terminated because the workers were separated
from the subject firm more than one year prior to the date of the
petition. The NAFTA Implementation Act specifies that no certification
may apply to any worker whose last separation occurred more than one
year before the date of the petition. Consequently, further
investigation in this case would serve no purpose, and the
investigation has been terminated.

Signed at Washington, D.C., this 6th day of February, 1998.
Grant D. Beale,
Acting Director, Office of Trade Adjustment Assistance.
