Endangered and Threatened Species Permit Application

ACTION: Notice of receipt of application.

Permit No. PRT-676811

Applicant: Assistant Regional Director--Ecological Services, Region 
2, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Albuquerque, New Mexico

    Applicant requests authorization to renew U.S. Fish and Wildlife 
Service Endangered Species Permit PRT-676811, from June 15, 1998, 
through December 31, 2003. This permit would allow ``take'' of species 
listed as threatened or endangered under the Endangered Species Act. 
Taking would be for scientific research and recovery purposes or the 
enhancement of propagation or survival for approved recovery 
activities.

SUMMARY: The applicant listed above has applied for a permit renewal to 
conduct certain activities with endangered species. This notice is 
provided pursuant to section 10(a) of the Endangered Species Act of 
1973, as amended (16 U.S.C. 1531, et seq.).

DATES: Written comments on this permit application must be received on 
or before May 11, 1998.
