Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company; Notice of Refund Report

June 30, 1998.
    Take notice that on June 26, 1998, Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company 
(Tennessee) tendered for filing a refund report pursuant to Ordering 
Paragraph (c) of the Commission's February 22, 1995, order in Gas 
Research Institute (GRI), Docket No. RP95-124-000.
    Tennessee states that Tennessee received a refund from GRI in the 
amount of $1,170,085.
    Tennessee states that it has refunded these amounts to its firm 
transportation customers that received nondiscounted service during 
1997 by adjustmenting their June invoices.
    Tennessee states that copies of this filing have been mailed to 
each of Tennessee's customers and interested state commissions.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest this filing should 
file a motion to intervene or a protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, 
in accordance with Sections 385.214 and 385.211 of the Commission's 
Rules and Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed on or 
before July 7, 1998. Protests will be considered by the Commission in 
determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to 
make protestants parties to the proceedings. Any person wishing to 
become a party must file a motion to intervene. Copies of this filing 
are on file with the Commission and are available for public inspection 
in the Public Reference Room.
