Order Granting Long-Term Authorization to Import Natural Gas from 
Canada

AGENCY: Office of Fossil Energy, DOE.

ACTION: Notice of Order.

SUMMARY: The Office of Fossil Energy (FE) of the Department of Energy 
gives notice that it has issued an order granting Enron Capital & Trade 
Resources Corp. (ETC) long-term authorization to import up to 30,390 
Mcf per day of natural gas from Canada. The authorization is for a 10-
year term commencing November 1, 1998, through October 31, 2008, or for 
10 years after the commencement of deliveries if deliveries begin after 
November 1, 1998. This gas may be imported from Canada at the 
international border point near Noyes, Minnesota (Emerson, Manitoba), 
or at alternative border points with transportation facilities 
accessible by ETC.
    This Order may be found on the FE web site at http://

It is also available for inspection and copying in the Office of 
Natural Gas & Petroleum Import and Export Activities Docket Room, 3E-
033, Forrestal Building, 1000 Independence Avenue, S.W., Washington, 
D.C. 20585, (202) 586-9478. The docket room is open between the hours 
of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except Federal 
holidays.
