between GPU Energy and PP&L, Inc. (PP&L), dated November 2, 1998. This 
Service Agreement specifies that PP&L has agreed to the rates, terms 
and conditions of GPU Energy's Market-Based Sales Tariff (Sales Tariff) 
designated as FERC Electric Rate Schedule, First Revised Volume No. 5. 
The Sales Tariff allows GPU Energy and PP&L to enter into separately 
scheduled transactions under which GPU Energy will make available for 
sale, surplus capacity and/or energy.
    GPU Energy requests a waiver of the Commission's notice 
requirements for good cause shown and an effective date of November 2, 
1998, for the Service Agreement.

Energy Marketing Corporation (REMC) under PP&L's Market-Based Rate and 
Resale of Transmission Rights Tariff, FERC Electric Tariff, Volume No. 
5. The Service Agreement adds REMC as an eligible customer under the 
Tariff.
    PP&L requests an effective date of November 4, 1998, for the 
Service Agreement.
    PP&L states that copies of this filing have been supplied to REMC 
and to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.

including the authority to sell electricity at market-based rates; and 
the waiver of certain Commission regulations.
    Lakeside intends to engage in wholesale electric power and energy
