Take notice that on January 13, 1999, Portland Natural Gas Transmission System (PNGTS) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, Original Volume No. 1, the following sheets: Substitute Original Sheet No. 3 Substitute Original Sheet No. 301 Substitute Original Sheet No. 303 Substitute Original Sheet No. 323 Substitute Original Sheet No. 349 Substitute Original Sheet No. 351 Substitute Original Sheet No. 352 Substitute Original Sheet No. 366 Substitute Original Sheet No. 380 Substitute Original Sheet No. 600 PNGTS proposes to place the above tariff sheets, amending its December 11, 1998 tariff filing, into effect on the expected in-service date of its pipeline, February 11, 1999. PNGTS states that these amended tariff sheets will more fully implement the Gas Industry Board Standards, provide expiration dates for all contracts listed in the Index of Shippers, and make a correction to the Preliminary Statement. PNGTS states that copies of this filing were served upon all parties listed on the official service list compiled by the Secretary in these proceedings as well as PNGTS customers and interested state commissions. However, PNGTS states that copies of the redlined tariff sheets in Appendix B will not be included in the mailing. PNGTS states that redlined tariff sheets of this filing will be made available upon request, and complete copies of this filing are on file with the Commission. Any person desiring to protest this filing should file with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE., Washington, DC 20426, in accordance with Section 385.211 of the Commission's Rules and Regulations. All such protests must be filed as provided in Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make Protestants parties to the proceeding.
