Jack L. Aronowitz, et. al., Civil Action number 98-6201 Civ-Dimitrouleas, was lodged with the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida Fort Lauderdale Division. In this action the United States seeks to recover past response costs as well future response costs incurred and to be incurred by the United States at the Lauderdale Chemical Warehouse Site (``Site''), located in the Ft. Lauderdale Industrial Air Park at 4987 Northwest 23rd Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale, Broward County, Florida. The Partial Consent Decree resolves certain claims pursuant to Section 107 of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, 42 U.S.C. Sec. 9607, against defendants Kenton Wood (``Wood'') and D. H. Blair & Co., Inc., a Delaware corporation (``Blair''). In the proposed Partial Consent Decree, defendants Wood and Blair agree to pay to the United States $80,000 for past response costs. The Department of Justice will receive for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of this publication comments relating to the Partial Consent Decree.
