Mid Louisiana Gas Company; Notice of Proposed Changes in FERC Gas 
Tariff

April 2, 1999.
    Take notice that on March 31, 1999, Mid Louisiana Gas Company (Mid 
Louisiana) tendered for filing as part of its FERC Gas Tariff, Third 
Revised Volume No. 1, the following tariff sheets to become effective 
May 1, 1999:

Third Revised Sheet No. 77
Fourth Revised Sheet No. 78
Fourth Revised Sheet No. 79
Third Revised Sheet No. 87
Second Revised Sheet No. 88
Third Revised Sheet No. 157
Third Revised Sheet No. 166

    Mid Louisiana states that the purpose of this filing is to comply 
with Commission Order No. 587-G, issued April 16, 1998 in Docket No. 
RM96-1-007 wherein the Commission adopted, by reference, certain 
standardized business procedures, Version 1.2 as submitted by the Gas 
Industry Standards Board (GISB).
    Mid Louisiana requests that the Commission grant a waiver of the 
filing deadline as stipulated in the Order thereby allowing the 
indicated tariff sheets(s) be accepted to be effective May 1, 1999.
    Pursuant to Section 154.7(a)(7) of the Commission's Regulations, 
Mid Louisiana respectfully requests waiver of any additional 
requirement of the Regulations in order to permit the tendered tariff 
sheet to become effective May 1, 1999, as submitted.
    Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should 
file a motion to intervene or a protest with the Federal Energy 
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. 20426, 
in accordance with Sections 385.214 or 385.211 of the Commission's 
Rules and Regulations. all such motions or protests must be filed in 
accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's Regulations. 
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the 
appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make protestants 
parties to the proceedings.
    Any person wishing to become a party must file a motion to 
intervene. Copies of this filing are on file with the Commission and 
are available for public inspection in the Public Reference Room. This
