Telecommunications Facilities; Construction and Operation; Golden 
Gate National Recreation Area, Marin County, CA

AGENCY: Golden Gate National Recreation Area, NPS, DOI.

ACTION: Public notice.

SUMMARY: Public notice is hereby given that the Golden Gate National 
Recreation Area proposes to consider the initial application made by 
Bay Area Cellular Telephone Company, dba, CellularOne to install a 
wireless communication facility in the Highway 101 right-of-way, above 
and adjacent to the Alexander Avenue underpass to Highway 101, 
immediately north of the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County, CA.

DATES: Comments will be accepted on, or before, July 21, 1999.

Francisco, CA 94123. To obtain a copy of the initial application, 
contact Richard Louthan at (415) 561-4729.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The initial application made by CellularOne 
requests that a cellular site be constructed in the Highway 101 right-
of-way, above and adjacent to the Alexander Avenue underpass to Highway 
101, immediately north of the Golden Gate Bridge. The Superintendent 
will consider and evaluate all comments as a result of this public 
notice before authorizing CellularOne to proceed beyond the initial 
application phase of the project review and permitting process.
