ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: The Panel will conduct a public meeting to receive and discuss
information associated with military operations at Vieques, Puerto Rico
and in the adjoining ocean range complex. The panel will receive
information from the Office of the Governor of Puerto Rico regarding
the recently released report by the Governor's Vieques Commission and
from Department of the Navy representatives on the Vieques Study
directed by the Secretary of the Navy. Because of the short timeframe
of the panel's review, and the accelerated pace of the meeting
schedule, this announcement must be made less than 15 days before the
meeting will take place.
DATES: July 9, 1999, 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m..

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Seating in the panel meeting room is
limited, and spaces will be reserved only for panel members and invited
representatives. The remaining seating is available on a first-come,
first-served basis. No teleconference lines will be available. Written
comments for the record may be mailed to the Panel and will be
distributed to the Panel members after the adjournment of the July 9,
1999 meeting.
