Federal Energy Regulatory Commission
[Docket No. RP00-57-000]

Colorado Interstate Gas Company; Notice of Tariff Filing

November 4, 1999.
Take notice that on November 1, 1999, Colorado Interstate Gas
Company (CIG), tendered for filing to become part of its FERC Gas
Tariff, First Revised Volume No. 1, Ninth Revised Sheet No. 8, Fourth
Revised Sheet No. 65, Third Revised Sheet No. 66, Fourth Revised Sheet
No. 67, Fourth Revised Sheet No. 403 and Second Revised Sheet No. 404,
to be effective December 1, 1999.
CIG states this filing proposes an overrun charge on quantities
delivered in excess of those nominated and scheduled under an
interruptible transportation agreement. CIG further states that the
proposed overrun charge increases, as the relative size of the
discrepancy increases, to deter larger deviations from schedule
transactions. CIG avers that shippers serving markets with swing loads
are increasingly using interruptible contracts as their designated
swing account to avoid overrun fees on their firm transportation
contracts, and this proposal will help manage this trend.
CIG further states, to insure that a shipper is not penalized for
unscheduled deliveries that are outside the shipper's control, CIG
proposes that the overrun penalty will not be imposed if the excess
deliveries are the result of CIG system problems.
CIG further states that copies of this compliance filing have been
served on CIG's jurisdictional customers and public bodies.
Any person desiring to be heard or to protest said filing should
file a motion to intervene or a protest with the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission, 888 First Street, NE, Washington, DC 20426, in
accordance with Sections 385.214 or 385.211 of the Commission's Rules
and Regulations. All such motions or protests must be filed in
accordance with Section 154.210 of the Commission's regulations.
Protests will be considered by the Commission in determining the
appropriate action to be taken, but will not serve to make
