Ponder Industries, Inc.; Ponder Fishing Tools; Healdton, 
Oklahoma; El Reno, Oklahoma; Amended Certification Regarding 
Eligibility To Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance

    In accordance with section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 USC 
2273) the Department of Labor issued a Notice of Certification 
Regarding Eligibility to Apply for Worker Adjustment Assistance on July 
30, 1999, applicable to workers of Ponder Industries, Inc., Ponder 
Fishing Tools located in Healdton, Oklahoma. The notice was published 
in the Federal Register on September 29, 1999 (64 FR 52540).
    At the request of the company, the Department reviewed the 
certification for workers of the subject firm. New company information 
shows that all workers were separated at Ponder Fishing Tools, El Reno, 
Oklahoma facility of Ponder Industries, Inc. when it closed in June, 
1999. The workers provided oilfield services related to the exploration 
and production of crude oil and natural gas for oil and gas producers.
    Accordingly, the Department is amending the certification to cover 
the workers of Ponder Industries, Inc., Ponder Fishing Tools, El Reno, 
Oklahoma.
    The intent of the Department's certification is to include all 
workers of Ponder Industries, Inc., Ponder Fishing Tools who were 
adversely affected by increased imports.
    The amended notice applicable to TA-W-36,525 is hereby issued as 
follows:

    All workers of Ponder Industries, Inc., Ponder Fishing Tools, 
Healdton, Oklahoma (TA-W-36,525) and Ponder Fishing Tools, El Reno, 
Oklahoma (TA-W-36,525A) who became totally or partially separated 
from employment on or after June 25, 1998 through July 30, 2001 are 
eligible to apply for adjustment assistance under Section 223 of the 
Trade Act of 1974.
