Army Acquisition: Information on the Status and Performance of the Javelin Antitank Weapon (Briefing Report, 03/09/94, GAO/NSIAD-94-122BR). The Javelin, a portable medium-range, antitank weapon system, is intended to be used by the Army and the Marine Corps in rapid deployment situations, rough terrain, and air assault operations. The Army plans to decide on low-rate initial production for the Javelin in April 1994.
