Nomination for an Assistant Attorney General
October 27, 1993

    The President announced his intention today to nominate Loretta 
Collins Argrett to be the Assistant Attorney General for the Tax 
Division at the Department of Justice.
    ``Enforcing the Tax Code is a challenging and important task,'' said 
the President. ``Loretta Argrett is a woman with the intelligence, 
diligence, and expertise to get the job done well.''
