MEMORANDUM AND ORDER. The defendant's motion 26 to continue status conference and jury trial is granted in part for 30 days and that the ends of justice served by the granting of this 30 day continuance outweigh the best interests of the public and the defendant in a speedy trial pursuant to 18 U.S.C. 3161(h)(7)(A). A longer continuance request cannot be granted without more detail and discussion as required by Toombs and noted in the order. See attached for more details. The status conference set for June 1, 2010 and jury trial set for June 16, 2010 are continued and will be rescheduled by the court. Signed by U.S. District Senior Judge Sam A. Crow on 5/26/10. (bmw)
