ORDER that this matter comes before the Court on the request of the Federal Public Defender for the Court to authorize Thomas J. Gross, as a Criminal Justice Act Training Panel Member, to assist in the defense of Javier Murillo. Accordingly, pursuant to the terms of Appendix I, Part 1(c) of the Amended Criminal Justice Act Plan for the District of Nebraska, Thomas J. Gross is hereby assigned to assist AFPD Richard H. McWilliams in the representation of the Defendant in the above-captioned case, and must file an entry of appearance forthwith. Thomas J. Gross shall not be eligible to receive compensation for his services in this case. AFPD Richard H. McWilliams shall continue to be primary counsel on behalf ofthe Defendant, Javier Murillo. ORDER regarding 28 Unopposed Motion to Extend Pretrial Deadline as to Javier Murillo. The Court notes that a jury trial as to this defendant is set for March 6, 2018, before Chief Judge Smith Camp. However, for good cause shown, I find that the motion should be granted. Defendant will be given an approximate thirty (30) day extension. Pretrial Motion Deadline set for 3/19/2018. Defendant's jury trial scheduled for March 6, 2018, is cancelled, and shall be rescheduled upon the expiration of the March 19, 2018, pretrial motion filing deadline. The time between February 12, 2018, and March 19, 2018, shall be deemed excludable time in any computation of time under the requirement of the Speedy Trial Act. See 18 U.S.C. § 3161(h)(7)(A) & (B).
