MEMORANDUM AND ORDER as to George Ivory and Anthony Laquesha Coleman: Pending before the Court are the Defts' Motions to Sever (DE Nos. 119, 123, & 125). Hearing held on the Motions on 10/18/16. Motions are granted in part, and denied in part. The Court concludes that trial on Counts 1 through 4 should be severed from trial on Counts 5 through 7. Deft Ivory's request to sever Counts 4 and 5 charging convicted felon in possession of a firearm is denied as the Court is persuaded that any potential prejudice may be cured by limiting instructions and stipulations. By previous Order (DE No. 114), the Court set this case for trial on 11/15/16. The court will try Counts 5 through 7 on that date. Pretrial Conference and deadlines set forth in the previous Order (DE No. 114) remain as scheduled. The Court will set the trial of Counts 1 through 4 by separate order. Signed by District Judge Todd J. Campbell on 10/19/16.
