Connie M. Greene assumed her duties as the Assistant Inspector General for Inspections, Office of the Inspector General in December 2020. Greene is responsible for managing inspections, reviews, and special project evaluations of GPO’s programs and operations.

Prior to joining GPO, Greene served at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Office of Inspector General for over 10 years, including assignments as the Assistant Inspector General for Inspections, Senior Inspector and Lead Inspector. At NGA, she led teams of inspection professionals conducting complex assessments of agency-wide programs that expanded thousands of employees, represented millions of dollars in investments, and impacted NGA, the National System for Geospatial Intelligence and the Intelligence Community (IC). Her previous IG experience included three years at the DoD Office of Inspector General, Deputy IG for Intelligence, as an Intelligence Operations Specialist/Evaluator where she examined current issues and planned initiatives related to DoD’s participation in national intelligence programs.

Greene has over 20 years of experience as a career Naval Intelligence Officer serving in a variety of operational and staff assignments. She has proven experience as a senior manager and leader in conducting intelligence information analysis, policy development, crisis management and security operations in analyzing, interpreting and disseminating sensitive information at all levels throughout the DoD and the IC.

Greene earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Science degree from Georgetown University. She is a graduate of the Post Graduate Intelligence Program at the National Intelligence University and a distinguished graduate of the Army IG School.
