SUBJECT: Library of Congress By-Law Copies
In accordance with 44 U.S.C. § 1718 Distribution of Government publications to the Library of Congress, government publications are to be furnished to the Library of Congress for official use. Effective October 1, 2021, Library of Congress has reduced the number of copies it requires under by-law distribution:
- 10 copies of most publications
- 2 copies of maps
As specified in 44 U.S.C. § 1718, blank forms are not supplied to Library of Congress.
For orders placed through GPO, the required number of by-law copies for the Library of Congress will be determined as part of the print procurement process. For agency in-house printing, Library of Congress copy requirements will be communicated with Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) copy requirements when GPO Form 3868 is submitted to [email protected].
