Public Access to GPO Information and Records:
Although the Government Publishing Office is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. § 552, the GPO has established procedures in Directive 905.3C for the release of information and records to the public. All such requests should be directed to [email protected].
Testimony of GPO Employees and Production of Documents in Legal Proceedings:
Any requests for GPO employees to provide official information, documents, or testimony relating to their official duties or because of their official status in a legal proceeding should be directed to [email protected]. The requests will be processed in accordance with the procedures established in GPO Directive 905.4.
Child Support/Alimony/Garnishments of GPO Employees:
GPO’s procedures for processing wage garnishments and other earnings withheld for child support, alimony, debt garnishment payments, bankruptcy, and other similar withholdings are found in GPO Directive 440.7C. The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is designated as the agent to which all garnishment orders or notifications must be served.
