To become a GPO Contractor you must do the following:
Step 1: Obtain a Unique Entity Identifier
The UEI is a 12-character unique number assigned to all entities who register to do business with the federal government in SAM.
Step 2: Obtain a Data Universal Number
The Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number is a unique nine character identification number provided by Dun & Bradstreet (D&B). Visit dnb.com to register.
Step 3: Register in Publish
Register your company on GPO Publish. After entering your company's EIN/TIN, follow the instructions as listed on the registration page. Registration is required for access to enter quotes for Small Purchases in GPO Publish. Access to quote on Small Purchases in Quick Quote will still be an option until that system is retired. Vendors may submit bids and proposals without completing this registration.
Step 4: Complete and Submit Required Forms
Log in to GPO Publish and enter the Company Information, Products and Services, Location Information, and Personnel Information in the Manage Company Information module. Upload a signed and dated Form W-9 and equipment lists if applicable. Click Submit for each location to send to GPO for review and approval.
Step 5: Once the Registration Process is Complete, you will be:
- issued a Contractor’s Code (GPO I.D. Number)
- able to send in samples to increase your quality level rating. Click here for instructions.
- invited to bid on GPO solicitations based on GPO’s evaluation of the information and product samples you provided
