NADEEM SAHIBZADA
Acting Chief Information Officer (CIO)
As Acting Chief Information Officer, Nadeem Sahibzada is responsible for managing IT policies and standards relating to the acquisition, implementation, and operation of Network Infrastructure, Telecommunications, Remote Access systems, Data Centers, IT Help Desk and Server operations. He is also responsible for developing and maintaining IT operations budgets consistent with program plans and established financial guidelines, and for monitoring activities and costs related to the overall utilization of information resources required to meet program operations requirements.
Biography
Sahibzada brings decades of Federal Government IT experience in working with complex information technology organizations to GPO. He came to GPO in 2016 as a Division chief IT Operations within the office of Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this position, Sahibzada is responsible for managing IT Customer Services, Infrastructure Services, Network and Telecommunication, Enterprise Services and Acquisitions and Budget Services Branches. These five branches support day-to-day IT operations for GPO and its regional offices.
Prior to coming to GPO, Sahibzada was Branch Chief of IT Operations at the US Department of Labor, where his responsibilities included administering the program for the data center, Network/Telecommunication, Server infrastructure and Remote services. Prior to DOL, he was Technical Project Manager at the US Department of Transportation (DOT) where he oversaw IT Operations that included IT security, data center, server infrastructure, COOP and database administration. Sahibzada began his IT career as Systems Analyst of IT Operations at the Emergency Medical Center the George Washington University, Washington D.C. for maintaining IT operations.
Sahibzada received a Master’s Degree in Information Systems Technology from the George Washington University, Washington D.C.
